THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Metroland West Distribution Centre requires a Shipper/Receiver for its warehouse operation. Reporting to the Warehouse Manager, this position will be responsible for pallet picking and racking. 

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Picking skids off racks and delivering them to the production staging area
  • Unloading of trucks
  • Sampling and racking of product
  • Inventory control of finished (skidded) products
  • Maintain consistent workflow by ensuring product is prepped for shipping area in a safe, timely manner
  • Ensure distribution products are labeled
  • Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Company Health and Safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned by the Distribution Centre management team

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • Previous experience working in a distribution/warehouse operation an asset
  • Forklift equipment experience is required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and management
  • Results-driven
  • Strong verbal communication skills and good attention to detail
  • Health and Safety knowledge and experience preferred
