THE OPPORTUNITY

 

Niagara This Week, a division of Metroland Media Group, requires a PART-TIME Shipper/Receiver for its warehouse operation. Reporting to the Distribution Manager, this position will be responsible for pallet picking and racking and will work approximately 25 hours per week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. Hours of work will vary between 7:00am to 9:00pm.

 

 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Loading and off loading trucks
  • Inventory control of finished (skidded) products
  • Maintain consistent workflow by ensuring product is prepped for shipping area in a safe, timely manner
  • Ensure distribution products are labeled
  • Responsible for assisting supervision in loading and staging area, as required
  • be able to lift 50lbs
  • Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Company Health and Safety policies
  • Other duties as assigned by the Distribution Centre management team

 

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years previous experience working in a distribution/warehouse operation an asset 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrates ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and management
  • Results-driven
  • Proficiency in written and spoken English
  • Health and Safety knowledge and experience preferred
