    THE OPPORTUNITY

     

    The Editorial department at The Hamilton Spectator, a division of Metroland Media Group Ltd., currently has an opening for full-time Paginators.

     

     

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Build and adjust pages for a range of news, sports, business, entertainment and specialty pages
    • Primary responsibility is pagination; there is the possibility that the successful candidate will work on thespec.com.
    • The successful candidate needs to be creative, curious and quick to adapt to challenges and opportunities in a constantly evolving media environment.

     

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • Preferred candidates should have community college Graphic Arts and Design training or equivalent work experience in the publishing industry.
    • Applicants must be computer literate and have experience working with various desktop publishing software programs.
    • Familiarity with online publishing, web development and social media is an asset.
    • The successful candidate must be able to work a variety of shifts and days of the week as assigned.
