    THE OPPORTUNITY

     

    The Hamilton Spectator editorial department has a vacancy for a Group 2 Design Editor. The successful candidate will have at least three years experience in newspaper design working with a variety of content and story forms.

     

     

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

     

    The design editor will work with editors and execute page design as well as graphics and maps for print and online. The successful candidate will be equally effective working as part of a team or independently with minimal instruction. The design editor will be able to curate content and executive design quickly and efficiently.

     

     

    WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

     
    The successful candidate will also know and have worked with contemporary technology such as NewsGate, Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator.
