    THE OPPORTUNITY

     

    We are looking for someone to join an amazing team of entrepreneurial, passionate people in a fast-paced environment. Reporting to the Director of National and Multi-Market Sales, you will work collaboratively with a wide range of groups across Torstar to lead, build and grow the business. The successful incumbent will be strong strategic thinker, responsible for helping bring sales solutions to life with presentation material and sales collateral. This requires an appreciation for the value of compelling and clear client-facing materials and an understanding of the sales process in order to arrive at a recommended solution to help achieve client outcomes. 

     

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

     

    • Create the visual/descriptive framework for business opportunities related to print and digital content, experiential marketing, and other products as necessary
    • Develop proposals for RFP’s or proactively as required by the Sales Team
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and with stakeholders across Star Metroland Media
    • Will assist with production of marketing materials and literature
    • Help prospect and develop new revenue opportunities for all platforms and products
    • Develop 360 proposals for RFP’s or proactively as required
    • Help create pricing models and implementation of practices for new areas of businesses
    • Assists in managing sales pipeline accuracy
    • Act as project manager on internal programs as required
    • Manage and measure clients to ensure delivery against KPI’s

     

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

     

    • Degree or Diploma in Business, Marketing or in a related field
    • Minimum 2+ years of experience in Media Sales and Marketing
    • A strong sense of urgency, a keen eye for new opportunities and a deep desire to expand an already established business are all required to thrive in the role
    • A results-oriented, analytical, and strategic thinker
    • The ability to both establish strategic direction and also execute, strong team player
    • Proficient Microsoft Suite producing including exceptional excel and PowerPoint Skills
    • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign and Illustrator, Google Doc
    • Knowledge and experience with print, online, interactive media and integration of multi-media campaigns
    • Strong influencing, interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills
    • Able to multi-task in a fast paced, deadline driven, team environment
    • Detail oriented, anticipatory, organized, conceptual and creative thinker
    • Adaptable, easily embraces change, agile and collaborative
    • Ability to manage multiple competing deadlines and work in an ever-changing environment
    • Expert in CRM, preferably Salesforce
