    THE OPPORTUNITY

     

    Peterborough This Week requires a casual part time Shipper/Receiver for its warehouse operation. This position reports to the Assistant Circulation Manager.

     

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Counting, bundling and strapping flyers/product
    • Receiving flyers and newspapers
    • Distribution of flyer packages to contractors
    • Stacking Cages
    • Inspection of Pump Truck & Trans Stacker
    • Prepare Recycling & Garbage
    • Maintenance and Housekeeping
    • Ensure a safe working environment in accordance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Company Health and Safety policies
    • Other duties as assigned by the Distribution Centre management team

    WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

    • High school diploma or equivalent required
    • 1-2 years previous experience working in a distribution/warehouse operation an asset
    • Valid Forklift equipment certificate and experience is required
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
    • Demonstrates ability to build and maintain positive relationships with team members and management
    • Results-driven
    • Proficiency in written and spoken English
    • Health and Safety knowledge and experience preferred
