The Waterloo Region Record traces its roots to 1878 when the city of Kitchener was known as Berlin. The Record produces award-winning multi-media journalism in print and online at therecord.com and is proud to have been awarded four national Michener Awards for public service journalism. Serving the communities of the cities of Waterloo, Kitchener and Cambridge as well as the rural townships of Wellesley, Wilmot, Woolwich and North Dumfries.
We are currently recruiting for a temporary part-time Receptionist to be the first point of contact for The Records' customers, subscribers and visitors (covering a maternity leave). This position is responsible for greeting customers, collecting payments from customers and ensuring top-notch customer satisfaction. The candidates must be able to work 9 am - 4:30 pm – alternating days.
As part of this role, you will be required to handle credit card information. Metroland Media is PCI compliant company, and requires people in this role to take PCI training to handle cards in a safe and compliant manner
